Curriculum and Facilities
“Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play, children learn how to learn.”
- O. Fred Donaldson Tweet
At TSUSJ, we firmly believe that co-curricular opportunities are essential in creating a motivated and engaged student body. This engagement cultivates a happier and more cohesive school community.
We expect our students to actively participate in co-curricular activities, and we offer a diverse range of options, including sports, performances, and various other pursuits. Those who consistently excel in these activities are rightfully acknowledged during our regular assemblies, further enhancing their motivation and drive.

Performing Arts and Visual Arts
The Shri Ram Universal Schools are home to a vibrant community that passionately embraces the arts, spanning public speaking, visual arts, music, dance, and theatre. Our DEED (Debating, Elocution, Extempore, Drama) classes are held year-round, providing students with numerous opportunities to showcase their talents in inter-house, intra-school, and inter-school events.
School Trips
At TSUSJ, we assert that no educational experience is complete without rich, hands-on learning opportunities. Thus, we prioritize organizing school trips that enable students to explore the natural world and witness their classroom learning come to life. We offer trips tailored for every grade, including:
– Educational Trips
– Community Outreach Trips
– Subject/theme-based trips that directly support the curriculum

Environment Initiatives
The Shri Ram Universal School operates a robust environmental program, “SHRI PARYAVARAN,” aimed at instilling a deep sense of responsibility and purpose in our students. Our initiatives are powerful and impactful, including:
Anti-Cracker and Child Labour Campaign
This campaign is designed to inform students about the dangers of fireworks and raise awareness about the unethical manufacturing practices involving underage labor in dire conditions.
Save The Tiger Program
Through the “Kids for Tigers Program,” students actively learn about endangered species and develop an appreciation for the delicate balance between humans and nature.
E-Waste Campaign and Plastic Awareness
We conduct workshops to educate students on the reduction, reuse, and recycling of e-waste. Our school proudly stands as a ‘No Poly Bag Zone,’ promoting sustainable alternatives such as cloth and jute bags among our students.
Clubs and Societies
Our clubs are an excellent platform for students to unleash their creativity in a nurturing environment. These clubs also enhance decision-making skills as students choose their areas of interest. We offer a variety of clubs, including:
– Radio Jockey Club
– S.U.P.W. Club
– Paryavaran Club
– Science Club
– Literary Club
– French Club
– Scholastic Club
Sports
TSUSJ proudly offers outstanding sports facilities, including a cricket field, basketball court, skating rink, yoga room, and an indoor sports arena equipped for table tennis, carom, chess, and more. For our younger students, we have created an exciting play area featuring a sandpit and play gym, designed to inspire joy and eagerness to attend school.
Life Skills
We are dedicated to equipping our students with vital life skills that foster self-awareness and enable them to become functional and responsible members of society. Our curriculum includes essential tasks like tying shoelaces and buttoning shirts, as well as advanced interpersonal and leadership skills that promote personal responsibility and empower students to navigate challenges confidently.
Community Service
At TSUS, we hold the conviction that serving others is a profoundly noble endeavour. We actively involve our students from the primary years, sensitizing them to the realities faced by the underprivileged. Our initiatives include collaboration with various NGOs and organizing collection drives for blankets, books, clothes, and food during emergencies. On special occasions such as Founder’s Day and Children’s Day, our students engage with less privileged children, bringing joy and hope to their lives.
